With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

An opportunity has arisen to join this busy acute Trust, joining a dedicated team of clinical staff, to support the provision of patient care. Although this post will be based at the University Hospital of North Tees, the successful applicant will also be required to work across all hospital sites as and when required, in accordance with service needs.
The post will require participation in appointed plain film work, orthopaedic clinics, trauma, in-patient, theatre and mobile radiography. Rotation through a specialist area could also be required following appropriate training. The post will have an element of staff organisation with the emphasis on ensuring patient flow through the department and providing a positive patient experience.
The Trust has a range of equipment with some analogue and CR, though many rooms are fully DR. There are 3 CT scanners (Siemens and Toshiba) across the 2 sites.
The Trust operates a 24/7 shift system in which this post would be expected to participate. The shifts are a mixture of 12 hour days, 12 hour nights and some 7.5 hour day shifts.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must have the following qualifications:
- English Language at GCSE Grade C or above, or Key skill Communication at level 2 (or equivalent)
- MSc/BSc/Diploma in Diagnostic radiography
- HCPC Registration
