With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

We are seeking to appoint a Specialty Doctor to work in our Department of Urology on a permanent basis from April 2019.
The post holder will undertake a broad range of clinical duties in support of the Consultant Urologists, working alongside doctors in training and liaising closely with Senior Medical Colleagues.
We are proud of the first class quality health care services the Trust provides to over 400,000 people covering the population of East Durham, Stockton on Tees, Hartlepool and surrounding areas, including a large part of Sedgefield. The two sites are up to date with modern facilities and with excellent reputations.
The Directorate of Surgery and Urology provides the complete range of general surgical care with special interest in colorectal surgery, upper gastrointestinal, laparoscopic surgery, breast and urology and is well regarded for the quality of the clinical care, with considerable emphasis given to a multidisciplinary approach. The department of urology is well equipped and offers various urological services which include laparoscopic kidney operations, PCNL and flexible ureteroscopy for kidney stones, laser operations for urinary stones and prostate, vaginal tape operation for female incontinence, paediatric and varioius andrology services.
This is a very suitable and desirable post for gaining a wide range of training and experience in clinical and operative urology. We encourage career progression of the post holders be entering into training programs or entry to specialist register via CESR application. Candidates who aspire to get into urology training programmes may also benefit from taking this post for a period to gain broad experience. Employment is offered for 10 Programmed Activities under Terms and conditions of Service for Specialty Doctors (England 2008). Applicants must hold or be eligible for full registration with the General Medical Council (London).
This role may be suitable for non-UK or non-EEA job applicants wishing to apply for Home Office Tier 2 sponsorship.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
